KUALA LUMPUR – Etiqa announced the launch of its Hari Raya 2026 web film ‘Dongeng Pak Delulu’, a heartfelt short film that celebrates the quiet strength, courage and sacrifices of everyday heroes within our communities. The film premiered across Etiqa’s digital platforms during sahoor on 10 March 2026, inviting audiences to reflect on the extraordinary acts of kindness and compassion that often go unnoticed.
This year’s Raya web film tells the charming and heartfelt story of Pak Amirul, a village barber fondly known as “Pak Delulu” for his extraordinary tales that often seem too fantastical to be true. As Hari Raya approaches and anticipation fills the air, a chance encounter with a young boy sets the stage for a story that gently blurs the lines between imagination and reality. Through colourful storytelling and moments of light-hearted humour, Pak Delulu shares stories of “real-life superheroes” that were often met with doubt and laughter. Yet, as the celebration of Raya brings the community together, a deeper truth begins to unfold.
At its heart, the film pays tribute to the unsung heroes among us, reminding audiences that true strength, courage and sacrifice often exist quietly, unnoticed. Dongeng Pak Delulu also ties back to Etiqa’s brand film launched in 2025, continuing a narrative that highlights empathy, trust and the importance of community in shaping meaningful relationships. Therefore, this Raya, Etiqa invites viewers to look beyond the surface and rediscover the extraordinary within the ordinary.
According to Michelle Wee, Etiqa’s Head of Brand and Communications, “Hari Raya is a time that reminds us of the importance of community, compassion and being present for the people who matter most. Through Dongeng Pak Delulu, we wanted to tell a story that celebrates the everyday heroes around us, individuals whose quiet acts of kindness and sacrifice often go unnoticed. Guided by our corporate purpose to ‘Make the World a Better Place’, we hope this film inspires audiences to appreciate the extraordinary goodness that exists among us.”
The film was produced by Imagineers Film, a trusted production house that has collaborated with Etiqa on several previous projects. Their expertise in authentic storytelling and visual craftsmanship ensures that the film resonates with audiences across cultures and generations.
Dongeng Pak Delulu will be available for viewing on Etiqa’s official YouTube channel via the link https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=btvpgtTyhNg and across Etiqa’s official social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn) from 10 March 2026.
